Orientation Programme “SAMARAMBH–2026” for MBA Batch 2026–28
Ajay Kumar Garg Institute of Management (AKGIM) organized its three-day Orientation Programme, “SAMARAMBH–2026,” for the MBA Batch 2026–28 from 1st to 3rd September 2026. The programme was designed to welcome the new batch, familiarize students with the Institute environment, ease their transition to management education, promote team spirit and skill development, and provide an initial understanding of institutional and professional expectations.
On Day 1, 1st September 2026, the programme began with Registration Day at AKGIM. The day was devoted to registration, document verification and completion of admission-related formalities for the newly admitted students.
On Day 2, 2nd September 2026, the formal orientation programme commenced with a Welcome Tea, followed by the Welcome Note and the ceremonial seeking of blessings of Maa Saraswati through lamp lighting by Dr. T. R. Pandey, Director, AKGIM, along with faculty members and students. A guest talk by Wing Commander Dr. R. D. Deshpande was organized for the students, providing valuable insights and motivation for their academic and professional journey.
The programme continued with an Ice-Breaking Game conducted by Dr. Kavita Tiwari to encourage interaction, communication and bonding among the students. After the lunch break, a Self-Management (Motivation) session was conducted by Dr. Vidhi Agrawal to help students understand the importance of managing themselves effectively during their MBA journey.
The day concluded with the Director’s Address by Dr. T. R. Pandey, Director, AKGIM. He welcomed the new batch and shared his guidance on the expectations and opportunities of management education. The faculty and staff members of the Institute were also introduced to the students, helping them become familiar with the academic and administrative team.
On Day 3, 3rd September 2026, the orientation continued with sessions introducing the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of different departments. The students were briefed about Academics, Examinations including internal and university examination procedures, marks scheme and debarment rules, Student Affairs including Samatva Clubs and annual events, and Training & Placements.
A guest talk by Mr. Sharanappa Hugar was also organized, adding a professional perspective to the orientation programme and giving students useful insights for their future development.
The programme further included brief sessions on Library and Sports Activities, SPEED/AIDEC, rules related to PDP classes, Discipline and the Alumni Association. These sessions familiarized students with the academic support systems, co-curricular opportunities, developmental initiatives and institutional expectations at AKGIM.
In the post-lunch session, students were introduced to AKGIM’s IT Resources, including the ERP System and Computer Lab. This was followed by a Skill Enhancement Activity conducted by Dr. Ankit Garg and a Self-Introspection Activity conducted by Dr. Sarjue Pandita, giving students an opportunity to participate actively, reflect on their strengths and aspirations, and identify areas for personal and professional development.
The three-day Orientation Programme “SAMARAMBH–2026” gave the MBA Batch 2026–28 a warm and meaningful beginning at AKGIM. The programme helped students connect with the Institute, understand its academic culture, and begin their MBA journey with confidence and enthusiasm.

AKGIM organized an Orientation Program “Samarambh” for the MBA 2024-26 batch from 30th August to 3rd September 2024. The program was conducted at the CSE Auditorium, AKG campus.
On Day 1, Dr. Manu Priya Gaur, MBA Coordinator (First Year), along with the faculty, extended a warm welcome to the new batch. The program commenced with seeking blessings from Maa Saraswati, followed by an inaugural address by the Director, who introduced faculty and staff members. The students were briefed on academic policies, attendance norms, training & placement opportunities, and student affairs, including various clubs and activities at AKGIM. A virtual campus tour was showcased to help students familiarize themselves with the institute.
The highlight of the day was an engaging session with Motivational Speaker and Corporate Trainer, Mr. Amar Chaudhary, who shared valuable insights on lifelong learning and career success.
After a brief pause on August 31st and September 1st, the program resumed on September 2nd (Day 2) with an engaging alumni interaction session. Senior alumnus Mr. Samar Chauhan shared his experiences and success stories, offering valuable insights to the participants.
The students were then introduced to various management domains, including Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, International Business, and IT by respective faculty members. The day also featured an inspiring guest talk by Col. TPS Tyagi, who provided valuable insights into leadership and corporate ethics.
On Day 3 (3rd September), the students were introduced to institutional policies on examinations, discipline, and professional development. The highlight of the day was a spiritual session by BK Sangeeta Didi, offering a holistic perspective on balancing academic and personal life.
The program continued with an introduction to AKGIM’s IT resources, library, sports activities, and hostel rules. The event concluded with an engaging self-introspection activity, allowing students to reflect on their personal and professional aspirations.
The Orientation Program "Samarambh" successfully provided the MBA Batch 2024-26 with a strong foundation for their management journey. Through interactive sessions, guest lectures, and faculty guidance, the students gained valuable insights into academics, career growth, and campus life at AKGIM.
AKGIM organized an Orientation program “Samarambh” for MBA 2023-25 batch from 4th October-6th October 2023 . The program was conducted at CSE Auditorium, AKG campus.
On Day 1 Dr. TR Pandey, Director, AKGIM, along with the faculty, extended a warm welcome to the new batch of students. Dr. Pandey not only shared recent success stories of AKGIM but also motivated the students to embrace competition, emphasizing that it would contribute to their personal growth. The programme included interaction with faculty from all academic groups. Faculty members from various areas familiarized the new students on norms,rules and regulation associated with academics, exams, Co-Curricular activities, facilities, students clubs and society etc. To give students a glimpse of campus life, a virtual tour video was showcased. In the latter part of the program, students had the privilege of an enriching session with Motivational Speaker and Corporate Trainer, Mr. Amar Chaudhary. His guidance touched on key aspects of lifelong learning, offering students profound insights on how to lead a successful and satisfying life. The session concluded with a vote of thanks from Program Coordinators.
Day 2 began with an ice-breaking session to ease everyone into the day. Following that, Mr. Charan Jeet Jha, a corporate trainer, shared insights on the uniqueness of each student and shed light on the expectations of the corporate world from young managers. The day wrapped up with an entertaining Talent Hunt program organized by senior MBA students.
On the final day, students received valuable insights from Mr. Christian Schroeder, a corporate trainer and SES expert from Germany. Mr. Schroeder generously shared a wealth of life experiences, emphasizing the importance of strategic planning as a cornerstone for a successful career, which deeply resonated with the eager learners. The latter part of the day was dedicated to an extensive campus tour, ensuring that students became well-acquainted with all the facilities available to them.
AKGIM organized its 3-day Orientation program “SAMARAMBH” for MBA 2022-24 Batch from 10th to 12th Nov 2023 to welcome new students and to introduce them to various sections of the AKGIM Campus. The objective of the orientation program is to familiarize them with the institute’s environment, with faculty, staff, and peer group. The program is designed to ease the process of transition to management education with a focus on team spirit & skill development.
Day-1 (10th Nov): At the very outset, the director of the institute Dr. TR. Pandey greets the newly admitted students with his blessings and exhorts the students to strive for academic excellence, personal values, and social concern.In his welcome address, he briefs students about academic life and college facilities. He motivated the students and asked them to come out of their comfort zone and work hard.
The students were introduced to the SOPsby different area heads. Faculty members from various areas guided them on the rules related to academic, co-curricular activities, training, and placement, examinations, facilities, student clubs, Speed/AIDAC, Student Discipline etc. Students also got to know about the institute by having a virtual journey to AKGIM with the use of the video presentation.
The second half of the day consisted of inspiring ice-breaking sessions conducted by Dr. Manu Priya & Dr. Neha Verma where they discussed the importance of networking skills for management professionals.
Day-2(11th Nov):Day 2 started with a motivational session by speaker Mr. Amar Chaudhary, Founder, and CEO, JUMP-T&P. In his talk, he described taking ownership of one’s work to lead and succeed in life. He added that understanding yourself is the basis for creating the best organization and achieving true leadership. He elaborated further that one must examine their thoughts and feelings to understand themselves: this is the trigger for true transformation. The session was followed by Proctor’s talk by Prof. S.L Kapoor on self-discipline is an invaluable skill to learn and develop over the course of a student’s life and helps them tremendously throughout their academic career. The next session on Time Management/Stress Managementwas taken by Brigadier Ramesh Chandra, a senior retired Indian Army (Corps of Signals) Brigadier with a sound management and engineering background.The day ended witha Talent Hunt show conducted by senior students of MBA II Year for a new batch to showcase their talents.
Day-3(12h Nov): On Day 3 Personality Development session was conducted where in personality assessment test was done by the trainers. The second half of the day was planned for a campus visit including Faith Centre, Taiffac Centre, Robotics, Amphi Theatre, Canteen, Cafeteria, Indo German Hospital, Stationery &Photocopier shops, Parking Area, Open Gym, Football Ground etc.
AKGIM organized an induction program “Samarambh” for MBA 2021-23 batch on 11th November 2021. The program was conducted at AKGIM campus. Dr. TR Pandey, Director, AKGIM along with faculty members welcomed and interacted with students of the new batch. Dr. Pandey shared recent success stories of AKGIM and encouraged the students to compete against the best as it would only make them better.
The programme included interaction with faculty from all academic groups.Faculty members from various areas familiarized the new students on norms , rules and regulation associated with academics, exams, Co-Curricular activities, facilities, students clubs and society etc.
AKGIM organized virtual Orientation program “SAMARAMBH” for MBA 2020-22 Batch from 1st Dec. to 3rd Dec. 2020 to welcome new students and to introduce them to various sections of AKGIM Campus and also to provide information and direction about how to best utilize their efforts and time during the MBA program
On Day-1 Dr. TR Pandey, Director, AKGIM along with faculty and staff members interacted with students of the new batch. Dr. Pandey shared recent success stories of AKGIM and familiarize the students with the various learning platforms available at AKGIM. He also guided the students on how to adjust to the new college life.
On this special occasion Mr. Mahesh Munjal, Chairman, and Managing Director, Majestic Auto Ltd. addressed the students. He Shared his life -long experiences with the students and guided the students on the various skills that a manager should have to be more effective and efficient in his functions.
Faculty members from various areas gave their introduction to the students and also guided them on the rules related to academic, co-curricular activities, training, and placement, examinations, facilities, student clubs, etc. Students also got to know about the institute by having a virtual journey to AKGIM with the use of the video presentation. The session on day 1 was power-packed and provided practical and valuable information to the students on the personal, professional, and academic front. The session ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Vidhi Agrawal, Coordinator Orientation Program
On day-2 Motivational Speaker and Corporate Trainer Mr. Suneel Keswani interacted with students and guided them toward key aspects of lifelong learning. Students gained lots of insights on how to live a successful and satisfying life through his presentation "Becoming a Life-Long Learner”.
On Day 3 Corporate Trainer Mr. Sumit Chaudhuri rationalized the expectations of students by his presentation about the journey "From Campus to Corporate: Dreams and Reality". His worthy discussion enlightened students about the real corporate world and the expectations of the industry with the young managers.
