ABSTRACT
The present era has witnessed increasing empowerment of women. Women are achieving increasing success across various fields. The success of women has resulted in creation of more wealth. On the other hand, it has created additional challenges related to family life and decision-making regarding saving and investment decision. Basic knowledge related to financial matters is necessary for every woman (Mahajan, 2024b). Hence, efforts have been made to explore the various factors that restrict females to participate in the share market. The outcomes of the study have revealed that financial constraints, infrastructural issues, attitudinal hinderances as well as personal issues are the causes due to which women do not participate in the share market to invest. Among these factors, the main reason that inhibits a woman from participating in the stock market is financial constraints. This paper suggests the policymakers to design such plans that would focus on removing the financial constraints of women and improve the investment scenario of the economy.
