ABSTRACT
Now, women in India are making an active involvement in the sectors like education, media, innovation, politics as well as in becoming financially independent. With the changing time, women have commenced to take an active initiative to invest their surplus funds, even though it depends on numerous factors like risk bearing ability, opinion of the family members and peers and exposure to invest in innovative financial products. The present research focuses to identify the various factors that affect the working women's decision to invest. Data has been gathered from 200 working women of Punjab. The study has found that the factors affecting investment decision among women are commitment, sources of collecting information, risk involved, increase in disposable income, standard of living and various independent decisions. The results of the study would be of great use for the policy makers, investment advisors, academicians and other government authorities.
